Translations with flair and feeling

_LEB9384_BWA literary translator specialising in Latin American literature and children’s literature, I graduated with distinction from an MA in Translation Studies at the University of Birmingham in 2023. Since then, my translations have appeared in Latin American Literature Today and Latin America Bureau and my work has twice been longlisted for the John Dryden Translation Prize, in 2024 and 2025. I am a regular contributor to World Kid Lit and a passionate advocate of international children’s literature. In 2025 I commenced a practice-based PhD at University College Cork investigating effective feminist and decolonial translation strategies for children’s literature, through the translation of a Chilean young adult novel. See my blog for more information and updates on how that’s going!
